Saturday turned out to be a very bad day!

On Saturday morning about 10 to 9 am, I was driving within about a block from my house on a very heavily snow-packed and snow-covered residential road. Because of the road conditions, it was impossible or insane to drive at any speed at all so I "guesstimate" my speed to be about 30 km/hr.h

Just ahead, this lady started to reverse from her driveway without looking to the right in the direction from where I was coming and she backed right into my car!

Because I saw it coming, I guess my body tensed up and as a result I've had lots of pain over the weekend from muscles I didn't know I even had.

She was charged!

I got a rental vehicle today and my poor little car was towed away to be assessed as to what the costs of fixing it will be. Hopefully they will fix it. It's a 1995 car with low-ish mileage on it for the age of it and it drives well so let's hope and pray that they will agree to fix it and not decide to give me the book value of it.

Wow Pat. You have a Saturn right? Is that why it looks like is is all cracked? I backed intoa Saturn once and the fender broken up in peices, allthey had to do was put another fender on it as there was no other damage.

Yes marilyn... A 1995 Saturn. This is involving the front fender, and both doors and the front bumper and maybe the mirror.

Hey! Thanks for visiting! See you again!

Pat, I hope that you are feeling a bit better now. I was sorry to hear about your accident. You must have taken very good care of your car!

Pat, I'm so glad you weren't hurt worse than just the trauma from tensing up. Watch that now and see that it doesn't get worse, or go to another part of you.

I wonder how long till you get your estimate. I agree, you took really good care of your car. Nita

Pat, I'm hoping that you're feeling a bit better now, and that the worst of the pain is behind you. Thank goodness you weren't seriously injured!

Pat, you are very lucky or better yet, God was with you. If you were in the U.S., your car would be considered totaled. Remember we are a country that throws away and replaces with new...electronics to big buildings!! God was with you!

Ouch Pat. I hope that the car isn't written off and is in fact repairable.

I dont know how I missed this post, I hope you are feeling better! It is so annoying when this sort of thing happens, inconvenient too. Just make sure you get checked out well because it is not how you feel now but a few months down the road you might have problems which relate back to this especially if there is whiplash etc., and you need to be able to hold the other driver's insurance accontable. Medical expenses are no joke these days.
