"This Ole House"
Old Pioneer Log Cabin
On the way to Ottawa on one trip to visit friends, I was on the road from Smith's Falls up to the Osgoode and North Gower area (Roger-Steven's Drive). There are many old, old farms in the area long ago left deserted.
I thought I'd share with you all these two photos which sort of goe along with the old barn of yesterday.
I can't make up my mind whether I like the coloured or the B&W one.
Both the photos (of the same old cabin) make me think of this song that was made popular by Rosemary Clooney...

Another beautiful old building. I like the color version best.
I remember that song too. I remember the version by Tennesee Ernie Ford I think.

I like the colour version best too! I like the vivid green and it sets off the weathered wood so well. My mum used to love that song. It was a big hit here in the UK when I was young by a guy called "Shakin Stevens".
Enjoyed the singalong. I like the black and white one best.

The black and white seems to go with that great old song. It shows the textures so well. The color wone is a great landscape shot too.
A wonderful old building - I can't decide which version I like better either! They're both beautiful.

I just love these barns Pat....both versions. I am with cg and Faye (aka the barn expert...)...the color one is great.

I like the old barns, I have pics of old barns on my blogs, I must try coverting some to B&W
